Nishagandhi Award for musician

Hindustani musician Lalith J. Rao has been selected for this year’s Nishagandhi Award, instituted by the Kerala Tourism Department. The award carries a cash component of Rs.1,50,000 and a citation. The award will be presented by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on January 20 at the inauguration of this year’s Nishagandhi cultural festival here. — Special Correspondent
