A weekly superfast express train to Dadar, passing though the Malabar region, will be flagged off from Tirunelveli on May 1.

The pairing train from Dadar will start its first run on May 3. Train no. 22630 will leave Tirunelveli at 7.10 a.m. on Wednesdays and reach Dadar at 3.10 p.m. on Thursdays. Train no. 22629 will leave Dadar at 8.40 p.m. on Fridays and reach Tirunelveli at 4 a.m. on Sundays, a press release from the Palakkad division of Southern Railway said. The trains, announced in the previous Railway Budget, will have one each air-conditioned two- and three-tier, six each second-class sleeper and general second-class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The stops will be at Thane, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavli, Thivim, Madgaon, Karwar, Honnavar, Udupi, Mangalore Junction, Kannur, Kozhikode, Shoranur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Karur, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar and Kovilpatti.
