Mukundan to head Sahitya Akademi ONV is new Kalamandalam chairman
Thiruvananthapuram: The Government has reorganised the governing bodies of eight cultural institutions in the State.
O.N.V. Kurup is the new chairman of the Kerala Kalamandalam. A.S.N. Nambeesan is the vice- chairman and N.R. Gramaprakash, the secretary. Its general council members are Kalamandalam Gopi, D. Vinayachandran, Shamsad Hussein, N. Radhakrishnan, K.G. Poulose, Kalamandlam Kshemavathy, Neena Prasad, Vasanthi Menon, Speaker K. Radhakrishnan and S. Ajayakumar, MP.
The Sahitya Akademi will be headed by M. Mukundan. C.V. Sreeraman is the vice-chairman and I.V. Das, the secretary. Its general council consists of the following persons: Perumbadavam Sreedharan (Novel), K.E.N. Kunjahammed (Criticism), Balachandran Chullikkad (Poetry), Vaisakhan (Story), Ravunni (Poetry), Mini Sukumaran (General prose), Ashokan Charuvil (Story), P. Valsala (Novel), Amritha (Research), Prabha Varma (Poetry), P.K. Gopi, Rose Mary, Narayan and Purushan Kadalundi (Drama).
K.R. Mohanan is the chairman and V.K. Joseph, the vice-chairman of the Chalachithra Academy. K.S. Sreekumar is the secretary. Its general council consists of Punathil Kunhabdulla, Kaithapram Damodaran Nambootiri, C.S. Venkiteswaran, actor Sreenivasan, Sibi Malayail, T.G. Ravi, Karamana Hari, Geethu Mohandas, G.P. Ramachandran, K. Bhagyalekshmi, Saraswathy Nagarajan, Janaki, Geetha Pious, Raju Mathew, president, Film Chamber; V.C. Harris, Madhupal, Diana Sylvester, Thripunithura Krishnadas and Mavelikkara Ramachandran.
C.N. Karunakaran is the chairman of the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi. Savithri Rajeevan is the vice- chairman and Sathyapal, the secretary. The general council members are Raghavan Atholi, Paul Kallanod, Kabitha Mukherjee, Sidharthan, Ponnyam Chandran and Karakkamandapam Vijayakumar.
Sangeetha Nataka Akademi
The chairman of the Sangeetha Nataka Akademi is Murali and the vice chairman Nilambur Aysha. P. Gangadharan is the secretary. Following are its general council members: K.M. Raghavan Nambiar (Drama), Mini Nair (Dance), Kottakkal Sivaraman (Kathakali), C.J. Kuttappan (Folk arts), Usha Nangiar (Traditional arts), V. Harsha Kumar (Kathaprasangam), N.P. Lalan (Chavittu Natakam), Vaikkom Venugopal (Mridangam), K.P. Udayabhanu (Music), Ramesh Narayanan (Hindustani music), B.R. Rajaleksmi (Research), Francisi T. Mavelikkara (Drama), Changanacherry Madhavan Nambootiri (Music) and George S. Paul (Writer).
P.K. Kalan is the chairman, V.M. Kutty, the vice chairman and A.K. Nambiar, the secretary of the Folklore Akademi. T. Radhamani is the vice-chairman of the Vyiloppilli Samskrithi Bhavan.
The Government has appointed A. Gokulendran as the secretary of the Kerala Book Marketing Society.
