THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A computerised complaints redressal mechanism will start functioning at the Collectorate from Wednesday, District Collector N. Ayyappan has said.

The public can meet the Collector between 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday. Complaints will be received at the computerised cell from 2 p.m. and tokens will be issued. The complainants will be called to meet the Collector according to their token numbers. The staff at the cell will feed the complaints into the computer and the Collector will give instructions to the departments concerned through the computer.

The complainants can check the progress of the procedure and can directly contact the Collector over telephone. The contact number is 2462471.

The Collector will conduct meetings, inspections and village office visits on Saturdays.
