THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An all-India rock climbing training camp for NCC Senior Wing and Junior Wing cadets was organised under the aegis of the NCC (Kerala and Lakshadweep) Directorate at Neyyar Dam recently.

As many as 270 cadets and 34 NCC officers participated in the 11-day camp organised by the 5 Kerala Girls Bn NCC, Changanassery, in association with the NCC Group Headquarters, Kottayam.

The objectives of the camp was to teach the basic techniques of rock climbing, build confidence, cultivate a spirit of comradeship and promote a sense of ‘nature awareness' among the cadets. The camp was commanded by Col. Paul V.P., Group Commander of the NCC Group, Kottayam.
