Says he plans to work in association with the NCP leader
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The former External Affairs Minister K. Natwar Singh has said that he plans to work in association with veteran leader K. Karunakaran.
Mr. Singh, who had left the Congress following his exit from the Union Cabinet, told reporters after a meeting with Mr. Karunakaran here on Saturday that he had had a fruitful exchange of ideas with Mr. Karunakaran.
Taking questions at a news conference he addressed along with Mr. Karunakaran and K. Muraleedharan, Mr. Singh said the very fact that he was addressing the news conference along with Mr. Karunakaran was an indication that he proposed to work along with him.
Mr. Karunakaran, who took his Democratic Indira Congress (Karunakaran) into the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) recently, later told reporters that he would be only happy with all Congressmen opposed to the present Congress leadership.
