The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education has won the award for the best National Service Scheme activities, Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb has said.

Announcing the awards here on Wednesday, Mr. Rabb said the higher secondary education directorate won the award in the directorate category.

The following are the award-winners in the university category: Government Engineering College, Kozhikode; St. Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva; Government Vocational Higher Secondary School, Pazhanji, Thrissur; and Mount Zion College of Engineering, Pathanamthitta.

The following are the award-wining NSS programme officers: Abid Tharavattath, Government Engineering College, Kozhikode; Raji Joseph, St. Xavier’s College for Women, Aluva; P. Renjith, Government Higher Secondary School, Pazhanji, Thrissur; and Thomas George, Mount Zion College of Engineering, Pathanamthitta.

The following are the award-winning NSS volunteers: Shijin Varghese, NSS College, Pandalam; K.K. Manu, Government Engineering College, Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram; N. Moideen Sha, Al-Ameen Engineering College, Shoranur; Marin Maria Augustine, Baselius College, Kottayam; P.S. Amritha, Government Polytechnic, Tirurangadi, Malappuram; N. Harishma, B.J.M. Government College, Chavara; and M. Sujesh, P.R. NSS College, Mattannur, Kannur.
