KOZHIKODE: The Muslim Students’ Federation (MSF) will observe Wednesday as ‘protest day’ against the ‘political fascism’ of the Students Federation of India (SFI) in the State.

Talking to reporters here on Tuesday, MSF State president P.K. Firos said workers of the SFI and the DYFI were attacking MSF activists in Farook College and parallel colleges in Vadakara.

Workers of the SFI and the MSF had clashed at the Farooq College a couple of days back and as a sequel to that, the SFI attacked some MSF workers who were staying in a rented house at Feroke.

MSF leaders said three students of Farooq College who were seriously injured were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital and two others to MIMS Hospital in the city. They alleged that such violence by the SFI was in fact helping the extremist students organisations to gain foothold on the campuses in Kerala.

They said the police were handling the attacks in a lighter manner. If the SFI-DYFI workers who had attacked the MSF workers were not arrested, the MSF would organise a march to the office of the City Police Commissioner here on November 17, they said.

Replying to a query, they said that they would intensify their campaign against terrorism on the campuses.
