The SME (small and medium enterprise) sector is into big league if the potential for growth in implementing the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solution is any indication.

Making a presentation on National Technology Day here today, S.R. Nair, managing director of Team Frontline, a leading ERP vendor, said that more and more companies in the SME sector were coming forward for integrated solutions. The crux of the ERP system is providing a centralised database for companies and enterprises to make them more growth oriented. The centralised data base would integrate data from various sources like asset accounting, human resource, reports management, service management, production planning, sales and distribution.

Now, the stress is on providing country-specific solutions and industry solutions so that there is seamless connectivity with the global market.

Kochi-based Team Frontline Limited is aligned to Microsoft Corporation, the world's largest software company, as its managed partner and TFL has implemented Microsoft ERP solutions in many leading corporates in Kerala, thereby enabling them to take off with fast track growth initiatives, Mr Nair said. During this year, TFL is planning to implement ERP solution in at least 20 companies and enterprises.
