Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar will inaugurate the 150th anniversary celebrations of the District Hospital, Palakkad here on November 10.

Addressing mediapersons here on Thursday, district panchayat president T.N. Khandamuthan said medical and infrastructure facilities at the hospital would be enhanced.

The women’s pay ward would get 15 new rooms at a cost of Rs.47.75 lakh.

A 2-lakh-litre capacity water tank had been constructed at a cost of Rs.55 lakh. An incinerator was being set up at a cost of Rs.25 lakh. The Women and Children Hospital would get 250 beds soon, he said.
