Comprehensive development is possible only through proper coordination of various projects for three-tier panchayats, N. Jayaraj, MLA, has said.
He was addressing a workshop on development for local body representatives of the Kanjirappally constituency held at the Kerala Institute for Local Administration (KILA) here on Thursday.
“Proper unification of projects is needed to avoid repetition of agenda. Projects should be formulated with a vision,” he said.
Mr. Jayaraj called for more tourism schemes.
P. P. Balan, director of KILA, presided over the function. Peter M. Raj, course director, and Rajavarma Thampan, director of the training department, were also present. Panchayat presidents, vice-presidents and standing committee chairmen of Pambadi, Vazhur and Kanjirappilly block, Kanjirappilly, Chirakkadavu, Vazhur, Pallikkathode, Karukachal, Nedukkunnam, Kangazha, Vellavoor and Manimala gramapanchayat took part in the workshop.
