Excise Minister K. Babu will inaugurate the 34th State conference of Kerala State Excise Staff Association here on Saturday. Speaking at a press conference, association president K. Subramanian and general secretary P.K. Muhammed Ali said that there were unfilled vacancies in the department. As many as 280 posts of civil excise officers were reserved for women. However, the Kerala Public Service Commission was yet to conduct the appointments to the posts, they said.
