KANNUR: A two-day seminar on ‘Healing practices in colonial Kerala’ will be held at the Co-operative Arts and Science College at Madayi here from November 12 under the auspices of the college Department of History.

A press release issued here on Tuesday said the history of healing practices as an area of research had been attracting wide attention.

The conditions in which the dominant medical systems emerged should be historically traced to understand the social basis that sustained these systems, it said.

Kannur University Vice-Chancellor P. Chandramohan would inaugurate the seminar at 9.30 a.m.
