KOCHI: A conference on ‘green management’ will be held at the SCMS, Cochin, on March 20 and 21.

The event is being jointly organised by the Chair, Global Environmental Change; SCMS, Cochin; the Association of British Scholars, Kochi; British Council India; and the UNESCO Peace Chair, Manipal University.

Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan, High Court judge, will inaugurate the conference. Umang Patodia, chief executive officer of GTN Textiles, will deliver the keynote address. Chris Gibson, director, British Council, South India, will speak on ‘low carbon futures and the British Council initiative’.

A press release issued by the organisers said that representatives from corporate houses, academia, government and non-government organisations will attend.

The best corporate representation will receive the UNESCO Peace Chair’s prize for the best practices in green management. SCMS, Cochin, and the British Council will provide a purse of Rs. 10,000 and merit certificate for the best academic paper.
