: ‘EMCON-2013’, the 15th annual conference of the Society for Emergency Medicine, India will begin at Vythiri in Wayanad district on November 16. The national conference, claimed to be one of the biggest emergency medicine conclaves in India, would witness the participation of over 1,500 national and international delegates.

The organisers said in a communication here on Wednesday that the conference would discuss in detail the role played by the Active Network group of Emergency Life Savers (ANGELS) in strengthening the emergency and rescue service activities in Kerala. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and other State Ministers would address the conference in various sessions, they added.

Organisers said the five-day conference would give new insight to the doctors specialised in the sector.
