PALAKKAD: Officials of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau interrogated the former managing director of the public-sector Malabar Cements Ltd. here on Monday in connection with the charges of corruption in the supply of fly ash to the company.

The interrogation took place at the office of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Saifulla Sayeed, who is investigating the case.

On March 19, the Vigilance officials had interrogated the supplier of fly ash to the company, V.M. Radhakrishnan of Surya group here, in connection with the ongoing Vigilance inquiry. — Staff Reporter
