Says ‘health for all’ is government’s policy
Finance Minister K.M. Mani has offered the permission of his department for setting up an oncology block at the District Hospital, Tirur.
Inaugurating the renovated facilities of the District Hospital on Friday, Mr. Mani said that better facilities would be ensured in the health sector in the district. The demand for more beds at the District Hospital would be considered after due examination. The government, he said, was following a positive policy of ensuring health for all. “The sanctioning of a medical college for Malappuram was part of that policy,” he said.
Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb inaugurated the new oncology unit at the hospital.
He said the unit would bring about relief for cancer patients in the district.

Mr. Mani also inaugurated the new pharmacy building and the de-addition centre.

Mohammed attended the function.
