The police have handed over to the Kerala High Court a list of more than 450 students enrolled at the College of Marine Technology, which remains closed down.

A division bench of the High Court had on Saturday issued such a direction while considering a petition filed by the institute’s managing director G. Mohankumar, demanding access to the keys and documents of the institute.

The court ordered that the documents be given to the owner of the institute for examination, while asking them to refund the fees to students who chose to leave the institute.

The institute had to be closed down after the police restrained it from conducting courses in Diploma in Marine Mechanical Fitter and Advanced Diploma in Marine Mechanical Fitter without the approval of the Director General of Shipping (DGS).
