KOCHI: Social critic Sukumar Azhikode said here on Thursday said that leaders should become the voice of the voiceless.

Delivering the golden jubilee lecture at a seminar on 50 years of Kerala formation at Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit at Kalady, Prof. Azhikode said that leaders should not confine themselves to the corridors of power. The decline in human values was evident in every field. Casteist forces were gaining ground in the State, he said.

Vice-Chancellor K.S. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the programme.
