The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has signed an agreement with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd. (NVVN) for procuring 300 MW power for three years from March 2014.

As per the agreement, the company will provide power at Rs.4.494 per unit to the board from its plant at Chhattisgarh.

As per the bidding norms, the provider can route power from any plant in any part of the country.

Similar agreement

The board has also entered into an agreement in the same manner with P.T.C. India Ltd. for procuring 100 MW power.

Commercial and Tariff chief engineer D. Dinesh and NVVN chief executive officer N.K. Sharma signed the agreement in the presence of Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed and senior State government officials.
