: The Palakkad Railway Division will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Kozhikode Railway Station in January next.

An exhibition will be held showcasing the history and heritage of the Southern Railways development in Kozhikode and Malabar area as part of the celebrations.

The exhibition will be conducted in the Kozhikode Railway Institute Building, which is also celebrating its 125th anniversary, a Southern Railways release here on Wednesday said.

It said people who were in possession of materials related to the history and heritage of railway development in Kozhikode and

As part of the celebrations, a steam locomotive would be displayed permanently at the main entrance to Kozhikode station.

A hand-operated crane and an RPF fire engine would be displayed permanently at the second entrance to the station, the release said.
