Kozhikode district won the overall championship at the 26th Keralotsavam, the State-level arts, sports and agricultural festival, that concluded at Sulthan Bathery on Monday. Kannur district came second and Thiruvananthapuram stood third.
Kozhikode district scored 463 points; Kannur 378; and Thiruvananthapuram 324.The hosts bagged 229 points, including 151 points in arts events and 78 in sports events.
While Kozhikode got 287 and 176 points in cultural and sports events respectively, Kannur secured 279 and 99 points respectively in the two categories. The Kalathilakam title was conferred on Aneeta Clarance of Uliyakkovil in Kollam district.
She secured three A grades — in Kuchipudi, Keralanadanam and Mono Act.
K.A. Anoop of Guruvayoor in Thrissur district is the Kalaprathiba. He bagged three A grades — in Kathak, Manipuri and Odissi.
I.C. Balakrishnan, MLA, inaugurated the valedictory function and distributed prizes to the winners.
