Bills drafted on the basis of law reforms panel proposals

KOLLAM: The Kollam diocese will take out a rally and a hold a public meeting here on Monday in protest against four Bills drafted on the basis of the recommendations of the Kerala Law Reforms Commission.

The rally will begin from the Saint Joseph’s Convent School grounds. It will be led by Kollam Bishop Stanley Roman. After passing through the main centres of the city, it will culminate at the Kollam Press Club Maidan for the meeting which will be presided over by diocese Episcopal Vicar Paul Mullassery.

It will be inaugurated by Dr. Roman. The rally and meeting will be held under the banner of the Jeevan Samrakshana Samithi (JSS) of the diocese. Samithi State secretary Abraham Puthenkulam, Monsignor George Mathew, and Fr. Mathew Chandrankunnel will talk on the Bills at the meeting.

Kerala Latin Catholic Association diocese president William Ferns and Kerala region president of the Council of Catholic Women of India Jane Ancil will address the gathering.
