Vice President of India M. Hamid Ansari will inaugurate the K.M. Mani Centre for Budget Studies in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday.

The Centre, which is being established at the Cochin University of Science and Technology, is aimed at facilitating comprehensive studies on budgets.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will preside over the function at the Assembly Hall of old Secretariat Building at 10 a.m. V.S. Achuthanandan, Leader of the Opposition, Finance Minister K.M. Mani, Union Minister of State for Human Resource Shashi Tharoor and M. Govinda Rao, Member of 14{+t}{+h}Finance Commission, are expected to speak. — Staff Reporter
