Union Minister for Law and Justice Salman Khurshid will launch the first phase of construction of the International Convention Centre and the state-of-the-art Skywalk of the Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally, on Tuesday.

Mar Mathew Arackal, the Bishop of Kanjirappally and Patron of the College, will preside over the function. P.J. Kurien, Anto Antony, MPs; Mons Joseph, N. Jayaraj, MLAs; Varghese Parinthirickal, manager; and Jose Kannampuzha, principal, will speak on the occasion.

The proposed International Convention Centre with a seating capacity of 5000 will facilitate the conduct of international seminars, conferences, workshops and training programs.

Skywalk

The 500-meter Skywalk, while providing easy access to the college from the hostel, will enable students to utilise the central library and internet facility of the college late into the night, said a release.
