The show which is an annual event of the Kerala Builders Forum, an apex body of the professional builders and property developers in the state, has come to be identified as one of the most sought after property pageants in Kochi. The builders are of the opinion that the property shows not only provide better brand visibility but also creates more awareness among the public. And according to them this premier property show has been converted into an annual event owing to its huge popularity. The ongoing trends in design, interiors and several other significant are always displayed at the property shows. Besides, the home financing companies who are participating in the expo will be offering special tariff on home loans availed during the period of the show.
"The property expo is being organized annually with a view to make people more aware about the various housing options that are on offer today. And in the current edition a good number of projects from budget to high-end commercial projects to fully furnished homes, service apartments, independent villas and waterfront projects will be showcased", says George E George, chairman of Kerala Builders Forum.
"In the earlier editions we received an excellent response both in terms of spot sales and follow up sales and this year too we are hoping to hit it big" adds George. The ’Kerala Property Expo – 2008’, besides offering the best in real estate, will also give people in Kochi a chance to glance through the latest trends in the real estate sector.
The fact that, in the last year’s property show, business deals, to the tune of 250 crores were clinched by the participants in a short span of three days underlines the business potential of such shows. "Property shows always provide us with a chance to showcase our existing projects along with the forthcoming ones. And at the same it also helps the prospective customers to make a comparison with a number of other projects coming up in a particular location", says a leading Kochi based builder.
With sweeping changes taking place in the socio-economic milieu of the State, the lifestyles of Malayalis have taken a total turnaround in recent years. As such, the real estate is getting abuzz with activities and along with it, a number of new concepts are also getting streamlined in the construction sector. However, a touch of professionalism is what almost all of them are trying to rope in. With successive announcements of several mega projects in Kochi and of late with the Smart City project having become a reality, hordes of professionals from across the world are waiting to touch down in Kochi as part of their company’s expansion projects. “Kochi offers more choices and multiple options today and the emerging industrial growth is definitely complementing the real estate sector in a big way”, remarks Mr.Ajith of Heera Construction.
Most builders having operations in Kochi are of the opinion that the fast changing lifestyles of Malayalis have worked as a catalyst for the real estate segment. “Today the customers have become so conscious that one has to have a thorough professional attitude in dealing with them”, observes Mr. Ajith. This change in attitude became a reality with the fortunes of Kochi having undergone a radical in the recent past. Today, the city is being viewed as the hub of corporate activities and with this, several other industrial houses including MNCs are eyeing Kochi as their future destination. Kochi’s close proximity to prominent business destinations like Mumbai and Bangalore also is an important reason for its rising face value.
Through the current show, which is perhaps the biggest one of its kind in Kerala, the organizers will highlight buying apartments and villas as a viable long term investment. And thus they are also making all out efforts to give wider options to the prospective buyers than ever before.
