The government on Tuesday signed a guarantee agreement with the Union Bank of India for availing Rs.310-crore loan for Kinfra for acquiring 313.2 hectares of land for the proposed Kannur international airport. Minister for Airports K. Babu said the loan had been taken from the main branch of the bank in the capital city at an interest of 10.4 per cent. As much as 480 hectares of land needed for the fourth international airport of the State has been acquired by Kinfra, the nodal agency appointed by the government. — Special Correspondent
