Thrissur: We have heard enough about the exotic jewels worn by the Maharajas of Jaipur and Nizams of Hyderabad. The exhibition at Kairali Handicrafts spread out an exquisite collection of jewellery that provided more than a glimpse into the royal past of those regions.
The show, which began on March 16 here, is a big draw. From pearls to zigzag cut gem-stone necklaces and from coral earrings to attractive bangles, the special gem and jewellery show caters to all.
The exhibition also offers the facility to have jewellery designs of the customer’s choice. The service of expert designers is at hand.
The annual jewellery show is part of a sales promotion drive by Kairali. On display are ornaments studded with jade, corals, garnet, amethyst, rubies, topaz, opal, sapphire, pearls, emeralds and black and blue sun stone.
Prices of the jewellery range from Rs.50 to Rs.8,500. The price of pearls ranges from Rs.30 to Rs.80 a gram. Along with the jewellery, the exhibition also includes a variety of handicrafts, furniture, show pieces and bags. It will conclude on March 31.
