KOCHI: Tokyo-based shipping major ‘K’ Line is likely to forge a tie-up with the Marine Engineering Department of the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), a release issued by CUSAT said. A nine-member delegation from the company led by its president Shuci Chiro Maida visited CUSAT on Friday. Mr. Maida expressed interest in cooperating with the institution.

The visit was part of reaching an agreement with the Marine Engineering and Ship Technology departments of CUSAT in matters of sponsorship and placement, the release said. The delegation held discussions with CUSAT Pro-Vice-Chancellor N.D. Eenasu, Registrar A. Ramachandran and other senior officials. The delegation expressed satisfaction with the infrastructure facilities at CUSAT.
