THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 35-member industrial delegation from Italy, currently touring the State, visited the Technopark here on Monday, brightening the hopes of future tie-up between firms at Technopark and in Italy.

The delegation comprised young Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Italian industries in various sectors such as information technology, tourism, food processing, real estate, construction and engineering. The members of the delegation also visited some of the companies at the Technopark and held discussions with their CEOs.

Technopark CEO N. Radhakrishnan Nair welcomed the delegates and made a formal presentation on Technopark. Mr. Nair later told The Hindu that no concrete deal was signed between the visiting team and officials of the companies at Technopark.

"But the discussions that they had with the officials of the Technopark companies may, in future, lead to such collaborations," he said.
