Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar has said that priority will be given to solve the problems faced by the health education sector.

He was inaugurating a convocation ceremony at the AKG Memorial Co-operative Nursing College here on Thursday.

Problems faced by those in the field were being solved and the recent hike in the wages of nurses was a pointer to this. The Balaraman Commission report had been approved by the government.

He said identity cards would be issued to qualified nurses to prevent unqualified persons from working in the sector.
