An investors’ meet on the lines of Emerging Kerala will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode on August 17 by the Department of Urban Affairs for the three city Corporations to showcase asset creation projects and attract investment.

Stating this in the Assembly on Wednesday, Minister for Urban Affairs Manjalamkuzhi Ali said the meet would be on the lines of the Emerging Kerala held in Kochi last year.

Non-Resident Keralites would be involved in the meet in which projects that could be taken up in public-private partnership (PPP), build-operate-transfer (BOT) and other models would be presented.

The decision to organise the meet had been taken to mobilise funds in view of the financial crisis facing the municipalities and corporations.
