INTUC State president R. Chandrasekharan has sought the dissolution of the public sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board (RIAB) and supervision of the activities of the State PSUs be an independent panel of honest officials.

Participating in a ‘Meet-the-Press’ programme organised by the Alappuzha Press Club here on Thursday, Mr.Chandrasekharan, who is also the chairman of the Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC) said that the RIAB lacked officials with real knowledge of the functioning of various PSUs. “The KSCDC's functioning has been stalled for nearly a month due to the interference of RIAB,” he said.

“Many of the decisions of Ministers were not implemented because of the activities of such officials,” he said.

He said that all the 14 district committees of INTUC will come into force on November 30.
