MALAPPURAM: The Kerala Sasthra Sahithya Parishad and the Public Health Activist Movement held a day-long training in immunisation evaluation survey here on Wednesday.

K. Sakeena, deputy district medical officer, inaugurated the training.

Dr. Sakeena said the survey would be of great significance, especially in the backdrop of the increasing incidence of measles, diphtheria and tetanus – the diseases that can be prevented through vaccination.

In 30 panchayats

The survey is being held in 30 panchayats in Malappuram district.

K. Vijayan, district secretary of the Parishad, presided over the function.
