For five days from Friday, the Orthic Creative Centre will host a sculpture workshop.on Friday, jointly organised by the Centre and Terracrafts, Eroor.

Renowned sculptor and former dean of art at Benares Hindu University N.V. Krishnan will inaugurate the workshop at 10.30 a.m. P.K. Kesavan Kutty, former Head of the Department of Sculpture at the College of Fine Arts, Thiruvananthapuram, will be the camp director.

Fifteen artists from across the State will participate in the camp. The artists include Praveen, Suresh, Pramod, C.G. George, V.K. Jayan, Ramesh, Radha R., Salim, Venu, Jayan, Hochimin, Jeevan Lal, Madhu, and Jayendran.

The works created at the workshop, expected to be small terracotta sculptures and reliefs, will be on display at an exhibition during the monthly programme at Orthic Creative Centre on November 15.

The Orthic Creative Centre will soon have murals based on the Ramayana trilogy by C.N. Sreekantan Nair. A lecture deli\vered by literary critic M. Thomas Mathew generated the idea of holding a mural show. "This is also our tribute to C.N., who was the founder secretary of Kalapeetom." Ten artists from the Institute of Mural Painting, Guruvayur, will work on the project with art critic Vijayakumaran Menon as curator.
