THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Term-End Examination for December, 2009, of the Indira Gandhi National Open University will begin on June 1 and conclude on June 28.

The university has set up 753 examination centres which include 58 overseas centres, 17 centres in jails and 51 centres at partner institutions.

Hall tickets (examination intimation slips) have been issued to 3,48,036 eligible students.

There are four exam centres in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapruam and Nagarcoil and around 2,500 students are appearing at the centres.

The detailed hall ticket status is available on IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in. The students can also download the hall tickets from the website.

The examination centres have been instructed to allow students to appear for the examination even without the hall ticket if their names figure on the list of examinees for the centre.

Students should bring the identity card issued by the university for the examination. Mobile phones will not be allowed in the examination hall.

Separate hall tickets will be issued to the students of BCA and MCA for term-end practical examinations.

Students should contact the respective Regional Centres in the last week of June for their practical examinations.

In some cases, hall tickets have been issued with * mark against some course(s). Students are permitted to take the exam for these courses.

However, they are to contact the Regional Centre/ PI/ School for verification of the registration before appearing for the examination. The results will be declared after the confirmation of registration of these courses.

Hall tickets have not been issued to those students whose minimum study period is not over or the registration validity period is over.
