Thrissur: Hungarian writer and artist János Háy will visit the Kerala Sahitya Akademi on October 22.

He will interact with Malayalam writers and lovers of literature at a function to be held at the Akademi at 10 a.m.

Margit Koves, professor in Delhi University’s Department of Hungarian Language will take part in the valedictory session at 4-30 p.m.

Hay is an award-winning poet, short story writer and novelist.

His works include ‘Between Father And Mother’, ‘Above The Huge Universe’ (stories), ‘Xanadu’ (novel), ‘Gods’ (collection of poems), ‘Something Hard’ (collection of poems), ‘The Beauty of The Heart’ (novel), ‘Moons And Suns’ (stories, poems and drawings), ‘Marlon and Marion’ (poems and stories), ‘Welcome in Africa’ (poems and stories), ‘The Home of Trees’, ‘Grasses And Flowers’ (poems and stories) and ‘I Will Go By Foot To You On The Passage’ (poems and drawings).

His plays include ‘Daddy Of Ferike Herner’, ‘Pityu Herda’s Son’ and ‘The Stonewatcher’, which won several awards and has been translated into seven languages.
