Thrissur: A.C. Hirosh and K.B. Anil emerged winners (high-school section) in the pencil-drawing and watercolour categories respectively of a competition held here on Sunday in memory of artist V.P. Suresh.

The toppers in the upper-primary section were T.B. Advait Raj (pencil drawing) and Rabin Babu (watercolour). Karuna P. Pious (crayons) was the winner in the lower-primary section.

The winners will get cash prizes of Rs.3,000 each.

Thirty students selected from those participated in the contest will get the opportunity to take part in a State-level art camp organised by the Kerala Lalithakala Akademi.

As many as 500 students from kindergarten to Plus Two classes took part in the contest.

Writer Lohithadas will present the prizes at a function to be organised at the Desabhimani Hall here on Tuesday.
