Eminent thinkers and policy makers to attend conclave

Conclave also includes a case study competition

Kozhikode: The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, (IIM-K) is organising its annual management conclave, ‘Horizons 2007’, on the institute campus from October 5 to 7.

Centred on the over-arching theme “Bharat ek Khoj,” Horizons will focus on three sub-themes—Rediscovering Rural India, Unleashing India Inc. and Unlocking the Human Potential.

Eminent thinkers and policy makers will talk on these subjects. The conclave will also involve bright young minds from the country’s top business schools through a number of competitive, thought-provoking events related to the theme. The speakers this year will include Santrupt Misra, director, Aditya Birla Management Group, Abheek Singhi, director and partner, BCG, Saugata Gupta, CEO, Marico, Satish Pradhan, executive vice-president, Group HR, Tata Sons, and Harish Bijoor, brand expert and CEO, Harish Bijoor Consults.

Thousands of students participated in the recently launched online quiz event ‘Chanakya.’ The conclave also includes a case study competition which focuses on Singapore as a work place destination.

This will be followed by the Horizons HR Summit to be held on October 7 which will dwell on the theme “Bharat ek Khoj: Unlocking the Human Potential.” It will showcase a keynote talk and a panel discussion. The topic for the panel discussion will be “Growing Challenges for Strategic HR.’
