A. Pradeep Kumar, MLA, revealed a secret that he took time to learn. Earlier, all political leaders including Mr. Pradeep Kumar used to submit memorandums to the Union Minister and other officials of the Union Government demanding fund for the State. But it all proved to be of little help, said the MLA at a reception accorded to M. Ramachandran, Secretary to the Union Ministry of Urban Development. The function was organised by the Malabar Chamber of Commerce here this past week. Only later did he learn that one had to submit the detailed project to get things done.

As the MLA of the Kozhikode I Assembly constituency, he highlighted the major problems in the city.

The process for implementing the Japanese-aided drinking water project for the city was not progressing at the desired pace, MLA said. One hopes that the authorities will take note of the MLA's concerns.
