Highest number of schools with students securing A Plus grade for all subjects

Thrissur came second among districts in the pass percentage for this year’s Higher Secondary examinations.

The results of Higher Secondary, Vocational Higher Secondary and Technical Higher Secondary examinations were declared on Wednesday.

Thrissur had the highest number of schools with students securing A Plus grade for all subjects. A government school in the district savoured hundred per cent pass rate.

Of the three students who secured A Plus grade for all subjects in Vocational Higher Secondary examinations, two are from Thrissur.

84.62 pass percentage

Of the 28,521 students of 177 schools who had registered in the Higher Secondary category, 28,467 students appeared for the examinations. Of them, 24,088 students passed. The pass percentage is 84.62.

In all, 642 students scored A Plus grade for all subjects, 259 more than the number last year.

Seventy-one students of Vivekodayam School secured A Plus grade for all subjects. The school bagged the second position in the State with the highest number of students who got A Plus grade for all subjects.

Sixty-nine students of Sacred Heart School secured A Plus grade for all subjects.

Nine schools in the district had hundred per cent pass rate. Among government schools, Chalakudy Model Residential School had hundred per cent pass rate.

VHSE results

Of the 2,374 students who appeared for VHSE Part I, II and III, 2,171 students passed. The pass percentage is 91.45.

In examinations for Part I and II sections, 2,281 students passed.

K. R. Anjali and T. S. Sharanya of the Kunnamkulam Model Vocational Higher Secondary School won A Plus grade for all subjects.

Eleven Vocational Higher Secondary schools in the district had hundred per cent pass rate.

With 40.48 pass percentage, Chavakkad Girls Higher Secondary School had the lowest pass rate.

Of the 8,970 candidates who had registered in the open school category, 8,875 appeared for the examinations.

Of them, 3,582 passed. The pass percentage is 40.36.

Of the 45 students who appeared for Technical Higher Secondary examinations, 38 passed. The pass percentage is 84.44.

No student from the district secured A Plus grade for all subjects.
