Sabarimala continued to witness a heavy rush of devotees on Wednesday.

There was continuous flow of pilgrims from Pampa to the Sannidhanam.

The National Disaster Response Force and the Rapid Action Force aided the police in crowd control. Pilgrims had to wait for hours to reach the temple premises from Marakkoottom on the trekking path. Many pilgrims who had reached the Sannidhanam after registering their name online under the virtual queue system found themselves stranded after the system went haywire owing to overcrowding, especially at the Valiyanadappanthal.

Crowd control

The police controlled the flow of pilgrims at Saramkuthy, Marakkoottom, and Sabaripeedhom to ease the congestion at the Sannidhanam. Kalabhabhishekom ritual was performed at the Ayyappa temple prior to Utchapuja.
