Consumer forum’s demand

KOZHIKODE: The Consumer Front’s State committee has asked the authorities to take action against those petrol pumps which force consumers to buy higher-priced petrol by refusing to sell normal petrol. A meeting of the front held here recently observed that petrol pump owners were “economically exploiting” the consumers by selling petrol which costs more, against government orders. Subicsha workshop

KOZHIKODE: Minister for Local Self-Government Paloli Mohammed Kutty will inaugurate a two-day workshop on coconut cultivation at Perambra in the district on October 30. Forest Minister Benoy Viswom will preside. The workshop is part of the fifth anniversary celebrations of the Subicsha (Sustainable Business Development of Innovative Coconut-based Micro Enterprises for Holistic Growth and Poverty Alleviation) project.
