To discuss issues concerning rural banking

KANNUR: The State conference of the All Kerala Gramin Bank Staff Federation will be held here on May 3 and 4.

Federation general secretary C.C. Premaraj said at a press meet here on Tuesday that the conference would discuss issues concerning rural banking. He said the banking system in the country was inaccessible to the common people.

The two-day conference will also mark the 30th anniversary of the All India Regional Rural Bank Employees’ Association. A seminar on the ‘Relevance and importance of rural banking’ will be organised on May 3. C. Raveendranath, MLA, will inaugurate the seminar. P. Sadasivan Pillai, all India president of the Bank Employees’ Federation of India, will inaugurate a conference at the NGO Union Hall here on May 4. Organising committee chairman K.P. Sahadevan was present.
