: N.K. Premachandran, Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) leader and the former Minister for Water Resources, said here on Sunday that the United Democratic Front (UDF) government has lost its transparency at the administrative level.

Speaking after inaugurating a district-level convention of the party here, Mr. Premachandran said recent incidents such as the police firing on students  in Kozhikode, bid to torpedo the ice-cream parlour sex scandal case, and the attack on a teacher in Kollam were examples of this administrative failure..

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was yet to suspend the police official responsible for the firing in kozhikode, Mr. Premachandran alleged.

The stance of the Home Department in these issues was against the democratic set-up of the country, he said. M.P. Jose, district president (RSP), presided over the function.
