A rare get-together of the residents, and former employees of the Nooranad Leprosy Sanatorium, and people from different walks of life will be conducted at the institution from 11 a.m. on Friday.

The get-together, titled ‘Sneha Sangamam', will be inaugurated by K.K. Shaju, MLA.

The sanatorium was established in 1934-35 and is currently observing its jubilee celebrations.

Rt. Rev. Silvester Ponnumuthan of the Punalur Diocese, Kaivalyanandaji of the Kayamkulam Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Chunakara South Muslim Jama-ath Imam Haji Abdul Gafoor Farooqui, former Chief Minister E.M.S Namboodiripad's daughter E.M. Radha, and ‘Aswamedham' drama author Thoppil Bhasi's wife Ammini Amma will jointly light the lamp to mark the occasion.

A feast for all those who assemble will follow at 1 p.m., which will be followed by the screening of the film ‘Aswamedham.' The film will be introduced by filmmaker Madhu Eravankara.

The District Collector P. Venugopal will inaugurate the valedictory function at 4 p.m., according to a press release issued by the organisers here today.
