CITU all India general secretary and MP Tapan Sen has said the general strike on February 20 and 21 will proclaim the firm determination of the working class to fight against exploitation. It will also affirm the unity among the trade unions.

At a meeting convened by CITU here on Tuesday in memory of E. Balanandan, a veteran trade union leader, he said the two-day strike would send a strong message to the government. G.Sanjiva Reddy, INTUC president, who made the E.Balanandan memorial speech, said the strike would be a fitting tribute to the late trade union leader.
