EKRA celebrates Onam

A sports and arts festival and a family get-together were the highlights of the 17th anniversary of the East Kariyam Residents’ Association (EKRA).

A quiz, a drawing competition, a cycle slow race, a rope-pulling competition and musical chair were organised for various age groups.

M.S. Venugopal, chief patron of EKRA, S. Madhusoodan, patron, G. Gopalakrishnan Nair, president, and other office-bearers led the members and their families from the 187 houses that fall under the association in the celebrations.

The family get-together and celebrations was inaugurated by V. S Padmakumar, Chairman, Works Standing Committee of the City Corporation.

At the meeting, Mr. Padmakumar gave an assurance that all roads, including the Kariyam-Parottuknomam road that links Main Central Road and National Highway 66, in the locality would be resurfaced soon.
