C.P. Eapen, freedom fighter and former circulation manager of The Hindu , died here on Sunday. He was 93. As a member of INA, Eapen was imprisoned at Vellore Central Jail for participating in the freedom movement. He is survived by wife Sosamma and daughter Emily. He was laid to rest at the Muttada cemetery of the Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Paruthippara, at 11.30 a.m. on Monday. Speaker G. Karthikeyan condoled the death of Eapen. The Speaker said that Eapen was a patriot and a selfless leader. He could become the voice of a generation, Mr. Karthikeyan said. — Special Correspondent
