Four people were arrested by the police in connection with the bomb blast which took place at Parad under the Kolavallur police station limits near here on October 3 night.
Four people were injured in the blast and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad had found six bombs and five containers from the spot along with materials used for making the bombs.
Panur Circle Inspector Jayan Dominic said the four were arrested based on the statements of those who were injured.
They were undergoing treatment at a hospital in Kozhikode.
According to the police, the arrested belonged to a faction of the Orthodox Sunni group and had assigned the four, who were injured in the blast, for making the bombs.
They had asked for 12 bombs to be used during a match and had paid an advance amount.
The accused were identified as Pottantavida Shafeeq, 19 , Kuttiyil Mustafa, 22, both hailing from Central Poyiloor, Keloth Ashraf, 23, and M. Mansoor of Poyiloor. They were produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Thalassery, and remanded for two weeks.
